FREDERIC / GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic – 03/03 Things havent changed. Once again I am sticking with poor conditions but I am still surprised at the people out riding. Already had one group in here and its now 11:30. Riders want to ride and they are doing it even in these conditions. Hard and Icy, pics below I just took outside here at Sledheads. Still alot of snow in the woods, its the trails that are gravel laden. We just have to deal with it. Not a flake of new snow here overnight and the big storm for downstate hasnt hit yet. O.k. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. This could lead to dangerous conditions for those without power or a safe source of heat.
