FREDERIC / GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic – 12/22 Still waiting for snow in downtown Frederic, Its a dark and cloudy Friday morning the 22nd of December and the weather forcast still looks horrible for the next week. 50s for the next couple of days. One of the pics below I took from TV last night. Other pics are from out front of Sledheads this morning. No one has been in all week. I think usually people still come up because they were planning to but I am thinking the side bys will be out and about. I wish I had better reports to give. Still no snow up in the Keewanaw either…. On the other hand I did get all my new hoodies in so if anyone needs to stay warm when you come up stop by and get a new one. I guess I should make up a side by or atv shirt. Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. Does anyone have any information that would explain why Antrim County was excluded from the the governor’s State of Emergency?
