TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club – 12/31 And the work never stops…..Pat, Pete and Steve were out on the trails to clear a downed tree. Since they were out there, they also did some brushing. Thanks guys for volunteering your time to make our trails the best they can be! This has lead to icy spots on roadways and/or black ice formation early this morning. This will lead to any wetness re-freezing on area roadways, which could lead to icy roadways and/or black ice formation tonight through Friday morning. Back roads, which became slushy today will refreeze as well, leading to complicated driving conditions.
