TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Grand Traverse Area Snowmobile Club – 01/05 Sorry for the late notice. We will be out on the trails tomorrow taking care of a few issues before the snow next week. As always we could use some help. If your available, please meet at the groomer barn, 7299 Carpenter Creek Road at 1000 am. Cool periods will battle with mild /periods through early next week. Accumulating snow reenters the weather picture later Saturday night into Sunday morning. The snow may end as a period of light rain or drizzle Sunday afternoon into Sunday night. This has lead to icy spots on roadways and/or black ice formation early this morning. This will lead to any wetness re-freezing on area roadways, which could lead to icy roadways and/or black ice formation tonight through Friday morning. Back roads, which became slushy today will refreeze as well, leading to complicated driving conditions.
