HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club – 01/26
Current Trail Conditions We took the west side loop last night, trails 710, 71, 705, 704, & 721. The trails are flat but we are running out of snow, I would say conditions are similar to late season riding. We ran into a group that rode almost the entire trail system & they said the trails look about the same everywhere. Unfortunately we have paused our grooming operations until we get more snow & the temperatures drop back down. With that being said the 7th Annual Vintage Ride will still go on!! The ride may be cut a little short if we run out of snow towards Mackinaw but it’s still going to be a great time. Show off your sleds at Beach’s Up North Tavern starting at 10am, ride leaves at noon!

We have a meeting this Thursday at the Harbor Barn with the Mud Brothers & Beach’s Up North Tavern to get plans together for a trail clean up on 4/26. #harborsprings#petoskey... See MoreSee Less

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> A cold night is on tap as temps fall into the teens and perhaps single digits across much of northern Michigan, especially in areas heavily impacted by the recent ice storm. This could lead to dangerous conditions for those without power or a safe source of heat. Looking ahead, it will be quieter Tuesday before another system brings the potential for another active wintry system for midweek. #miweather #gaylord#cadillac#benzie#traversecity#petoskeyA cold night is on tap as temps fall into the teens and perhaps single digits across much of northern Michigan, especially in areas heavily impacted by the recent ice storm. Does anyone have any information that would explain why Antrim County was excluded from the the governor’s State of Emergency? Are there any numbers showing ice accumulation for Antrim as compared to surrounding areas?
