HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club – 01/29 Unfortunately the warm weather & rain on Friday really took a toll on our trails, many spots are down to dirt while other areas are still holding a 4” base. We have paused grooming operations until we receive more snow. The highs for this week are 36-38 degrees, but it does look like the cold is coming back Thursday night. The snowcast is showing 2” for tonight but that’s nowhere near enough. Start doing those snow dances. <> <> FROM Meteorologist Brad Sugden >> I need to post this image again because WOW. Before anyone gets on the "SEE CLIMATE CHANGE IS FAKE" train... one of these below average maps DOES NOT negate the other 500 above average ones. Trends, folks. Trends. Nothing is a straight line. After Thanksgiving, a large portion of the U.S. will likely see below normal temperatures into early December. And of course, there's southern Florida. 🌞
