FREDERIC / GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic – 02/12 This is the year winter didnt show. Coming at you from downtown Frederic on a 37 degree and cloudy monday. Seeing some slight predictions of a little snow later in the week but if we do get some I stick to the story that it needs to be a bunch and it will only be good for those first ones on it. On the other hand Side bys and atv.s were out a bit from what I hear. Pic below is Jason Mccune and his group riding the trails on their atv/s around Frederic this weekend. I was a bit more comfy in the sun down south and should have stayed there. I think I have a total of about 200 miles in for the season. I wish I had something better to say. Think snow and MO MO NAH CHEE CHEE NAH….maybe for next season. Thanks for checking in. Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. Does anyone have any information that would explain why Antrim County was excluded from the the governor’s State of Emergency?
