Highest accumulations tonight will be along the straits while the typical northwesterly snow belts of northern lower can expect around a foot this Wednesday into Thursday morning. WEATHER UPDATE via Meteorologist Brad Sugden >> Lake effect + clipper system + lake effect = a hard forecast! But, here we go! It'll be very windy as well, especially later Wednesday into Thursday. We could have gusts over 40mph over land and 50mph over the lakes and lakeshore areas. This is will cause extremely difficult travel yet again. We'll have light snow Wednesday morning for the commute with heavy snow in the existing lake effect heavy prone areas. The Wednesday evening commute looks like garbage since we'll have strong winds and heavy snow coming down for ALL areas of Michigan.
