Gaylord Area Trail Report – 12/04
Gaylord Bureau – December 4, 2024 8:35 a.m. Snow, baby, snow! We’re having an epic start to snowmobile season and the Gaylord area currently has over 40 inches, with more in the forecast! The groomers have been running since trails opened on December 1st. All trails are open and in good shape. Please remember that even with the fresh snow we received, we are still building up our base. Groomers will keep running as we receive more snow. A few things to remember about groomers: – Groomers are out there to help you have a better riding experience and always have the right of way. Want to be ready? There is supposed to be a clipper tongith which might give us some nice thick snow.. That makes me think I may have to be closed tommorow so I can get a ride in. Highest accumulations tonight will be along the straits while the typical northwesterly snow belts of northern lower can expect around a foot this Wednesday into Thursday morning. Strong gusty winds will produce areas of rapidly dropping visibilities, which could result periods of whiteouts on roadways (especially Wednesday evening through Thursday morning).
