Seney Trail Report – 12/12
SENEY AREA UPDATE via Seney Snowmobile Association – 12/12 Trail 431 groomed out great today. We got around 5 inches of snow this morning and it’s still snowing. Should be a great weekend for riding. Just a reminder the Andy’s bar will be closed this Friday from 5-8. They will open the doors back up at 8 pm to everyone. Widespread 3" to 5" inches of wet snow is possible from Saturday night through Sunday. Slippery road conditions are possible on Sunday morning. All our trails north of M-28 are in good to great shape. Trail 43 heading south is not currently being groomed due to loggers. They are working down there and the road is being plowed from Seney to 10 Curves Rd. We have been down there but not much we can do with it. Your skis will hit rocks and the road is ruff from the all the logging trucks. We can’t groom a trail that is being plowed so please quit messaging us and asking. We probably get 10 messages a day asking. If they leave and we can groom it we will ASAP. We heard they will be down there all winter. Nothing we can do about that folks sorry. Trail 43 north of Seney has lots of snow and in great shape. Trail 431 has lots of snow and is in great shape. Trail 440 has lots of snow and is in great shape. Trail 8 to the Bear Trap has lots of snow and is in great shape. We do have 2 Park & Rides one is in Seney, and the other one is off M-77 north of Seney about 4 miles just past The Fox River. If you’re planing on coming up you are good to go. The snow gets deeper the further north of M-28 you go and the riding is good. If you have a trip planed come on up and enjoy it. We are grooming daily but with all the traffic trails do get beat up at times and we are doing our best to keep up and give you a smooth ride. Remember ride right and stay safe out there. I’m 7 miles south of pine stump and we’ve gotten well over 2 foot in the last 48 hours alone. There’s way more than 50” out there. Way more than 75 even.
