PETOSKEY AREA UPDATE via Petoskey Snowmobile Club – 12/13 Benjamin Ryder was out riding tonight and caught an awesome picture! Also groomer Charlie was out tonight getting the trails nice and flat! See you soon! 🌟 WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> After the warm temperatures and melting snow during the day today (Thursday)...temperatures will drop off rapidly after sunset. This will lead to any wetness re-freezing on area roadways, which could lead to icy roadways and/or black ice formation tonight through Friday morning. Back roads, which became slushy today will refreeze as well, leading to complicated driving conditions. I’m 7 miles south of pine stump and we’ve gotten well over 2 foot in the last 48 hours alone. There’s way more than 50” out there. Way more than 75 even. Everything was done except for the Cross Village loop (Trail 710 & 71 from Niswander Rd) and the part of the Alanson trail (71 from Krump rd to Trail 7).
