Sidnaw / Bruce Crossing Trail Report – 12/14
Groomer Report; We have groomed all of our trail system several times. Conditions are improving but they are not perfect yet, be aware of some thin areas on the grade and some wet spots between Bruce Crossing and Rockland. All the wet spots are passable, most are frozen now but still a little bumpy on trail 3 from Bruce Crossing to Rockland. Trail 174 is in nice shape. Please ride on the RIGHT side of the trail and STOP at the stop signs! Stay on the trail, if you don’t we could lose trail permissions on private property. We now have the Groomer Trackers installed and working on our groomers. We groom every day that the weather conditions and equipment allow. UPDATE via U.P. Thunder Riders Snowmobile Club >> Groomer update Friday 1/31/25 . The whole trail system was groomed last night. There are some very thin spots and the snow is getting tired. Grooming is not holding up very well. Hopefully we get the snow that is in the forecast. The snow will diminish from west to east on Sunday. By late Sunday morning, expect 2 to 4 inches of snow accumulation, but locally up to around 5 inches of snow is possible on the Keweenaw. As a result, plan on slippery road conditions tonight into Sunday morning. We're still down to one machine until most likely Monday, but at this moment 102 and 1n are being groomed then 13n to 101 and 8w to Wakefield..
