Lake Gogebic Area Trail Report – 12/20
LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming – 12/20 Marenisco crews were out yesterday working on the trails. The cold is helping to freeze over the wet areas and we tried to pack in as much snow as we could gather to smooth everything out. Here is a summary; Trail 1 between Presque Isle and Copps Tower Road is in overall decent condition. Still a couple of water holes that are freezing in but need more snow. Trail 100 from Trail 1 to Trail 13 is rough with a couple of water holes but some decent areas. Grooming has been limited as we have been trying to let the wet areas freeze up as best we can. Trail 13 from 100 south to Trail 2 is also rough with some water holes. There is also active logging so some of the roads have been plowed and grooming has been limited. Use caution in this area due to logging trucks and processors. We didn’t get a large volume of snow last night but the cold has been helping us work with what we have.
