CADILLAC AREA UPDATE via Coyote Crossing Resort – 12/28 Trail Update: Too Warm Hello- Depressing temps again for the Holiday week! Sorry to say that there is no rideable snow in our area and forecast looks like temps will be more favorable after New Years. 🔹Thankfully, we have Caberfae Peaks and their man-made snow on the ski hills. Much of their snow is holding up and many people are enjoying skiing this week. 🔹Don’t forget, NYE dinner and Honky Tonk party at Coyote! Reservations required for the dinner and music will be starting at 9PM. If not eating , please wait till 8:30PM to come for music… Call ahead to the bar for booking a seat … Seating will be limited , but allowing SRO for the music .. Come out for some Classic country from The Parks, hailing from Tennessee.. Gonna be a blast! 🥳 <> <> WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Precip will gradually taper through the evening. Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. This could lead to dangerous conditions for those without power or a safe source of heat. Does anyone have any information that would explain why Antrim County was excluded from the the governor’s State of Emergency?
