KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Snowmobile Club – 12/31 We’ve got a couple machines headed out this afternoon to see what we can knockdown and level out before the predicted snow. We definitely need more snow to improve these conditions, many corners down to dirt but we’re not starting over. Good, I believe I got the majority of the bumps smoothed out. I had to fill in some low spots with snow. The roads were excellent. Kurt is going to work on the swamp it was in need of attention.
Chris reporting on Trail 13 to Rockland last night.
Went pretty good, there were a few areas with flowing water. The largest area was just before the big hill headed towards Rockland. That flow of water was about 6 ft wide. I was able to get them all filled in. Several parts of the trail were pretty thin but overall the trails looked good.

We got just under 6 inches if fresh snow since Tuesday night in Toivola.
