KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Western UP Trail Reports – 01/04

Good morning from Toivola Michigan. A cozy 7° and an inch of fresh snow overnight with sunshine. The groomers where out last night setting a fresh ribbon for ya. Looks like trail 3 is done from Mohawk to Rockland. Also smooth sailing up to the Porkies from Bergland trails 102 to trail 11 and uptrail 1 to Lake of the Clouds.

Ride Right and be careful it’s going to be busy out there today. Looks like they skipped part of trail 137 out of Ontanogan so be careful up that way.

☠ Stretch

MASS CITY - KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Adventure Motel >> Hello everyone and what a great morning to wake up to it snowing! Please enjoy these photos from a ride that a friend shared with me yesterday. I hope everyone had fun over the holiday season. I have ran into some issues that I would like to address and just go over some stuff:
1. I run the motel by myself and as much as I want to get everyone’s trip booked and answer questions I sometimes can’t answer everyone’s call . I do return everyone’s call in a timely manner and I do listen to voicemails constantly throughout the day in case I missed a call being on the phone with another customer. I’m not perfect and might forget so please understand and call me back.
2. I will no longer being a taking reservation calls after 10 at night eastern time. I need some time to catch up on things and gives me time to spend with friends family not being on the phone. Guest staying who need to get ahold of me do have access to my personal cell phone number and will be able to reach me at any time.
3. If you have to cancel: text, Facebook email is not how you cancel. It’s by calling! Also waiting till the day of or not showing at all is very inconsiderate to all businesses. I have a cancellation policy in place as so many others. Doing charge backs, threatening me, bad reviews, cussing me out is not how you handle a cancellation policy when you did not follow the rules.
4. The snow has left us very fortunate in the U.P. but for other areas and Wisconsin has not been good at all. After last year some businesses were needing a good winter. I understand still time left but I hope you all consider traveling a bit maybe even for dinner to go support some of the business that don’t have snow. From my motel it is 48 min to Land-O-Lakes and another 15 to Eagle River. I can recommend some places. I’m sure they would greatly appreciate it!
Everyone stay safe, and have fun. I am booked every weekend in January but have openings in February. Also I do offer daily trailer parking for donation only to our local groomers. I do have 3 spots available for long term parking left if you want to keep your trailer up here for the winter as well. #masscity #keweenaw #snowphotos
