KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Western UP Trail Reports >> 01/13

12.5 inches in 24 hours is a pretty good dusting. I’m seeing a possible 5″-11″ more by tomorrow and cold. Wednesday & Thursday we’ll get a break in the snow then back at for the weekend.

We picked up just shy of 6” new snow
And 22” on the ground and still coming
We want to remind folks to stay right but mostly to slow down out there!

Another life was lost the other day on trail 3 just south of us here in Twin Lakes and speed was believed to be the cause
Let’s have fun and make it home to our families out there..

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Lake effect snow into Wednesday morning over the northwest wind snow belts yields an additional 4 inches or less of snow, higher in the east. Most of Upper MI will see lows in the single digits above and below 0 with wind chills approaching -20 in the interior west! Another couple of inches of snow will be possible in the western UP, but higher totals up to 2-4, locally higher up to 5 inches are expected in the eastern UP.
