Straits Area Trail Report – 01/14
STRAITS AREA UPDATE via Straits Area Snowmobile Club – 01/14 Tuesday January 14th We are out panning snow where we can. Most of our trail system remains thin. The farther north you go towards trout lake the better the trails are. The open areas on the trails near Moran have a lot of rocks and no base. As soon as you get north of Moran 2 miles the trail improves. We do not have enough snow to groom into St Ignace. Epoufette and Brevort areas are being groomed tonight and will be thin but rideable. We will update as soon as conditions change. Hopefully the next report will be better. Most of Upper MI will see lows in the single digits above and below 0 with wind chills approaching -20 in the interior west! We received 4-6 inches in our area. It looks more like winter. As of now we still do not have enough snow to groom. Chances of snow this week and cold for the most part so it won't be long. We will update as soon as the groomers are moving. Thank you #straitsarea
