FREDERIC / GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic – 01/15
Its now wednesday morning about 11 and its still nice and white out. There has been snow fallilng the past several days in Frederic but its not accumulating much. I would guess about 4 inches. They are calling for a clipper on thursday but 39 on friday. Sled traffic is slow around here but it really does look passable. Most riders say the same thing, north and west is better and it gets thin by frederic. Pretty much the same thing every day lately. On the brighter side the one real estate deal that I had going closed yesterday so thats good for me. Thanks for checking in. Pete

FREDERIC - GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling >> Still no new snow. They keep saying a clipper and then scattered new snow but I still havent seen any accumulation. So still in the past week in Frederic hasnt had hardly enough snow for me to plow. I saw a few sleds around town yesterday. Just seems to be the same old story everyday. Pics below are the trail crossings north of the high school and out in my parking lot this morning. I also put my side by out there for sale. I hardly ever use it and it has a great boss plow on it. Forcasts calling for snow the first few days of next week so maybe it will add up. Thanks for checking in. Pete #gaylord#snowphotos... See MoreSee Less

Rode out of Grayling today all the way to Mancelona. Definitely worth it and if you take some of the less traveled trails you will really be surprised by how good of riding there is to be had.
WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> A clipper system passing through the region will punt ongoing widespread light snow eastward this morning, transitioning things to primarily NW flow lake effect by this afternoon. Localized totals of 1 to 3 inches of snow are possible by this evening in the typical NW flow snow belts. Pockets of snow covered roads and reduced visibilities will result in hazardous travel in some areas today. Highs in the lower 30s today. #miweather #gaylord #cadillac #benzie#traversecity#petoskeyA clipper system passing through the region will punt ongoing widespread light snow eastward this morning, transitioning things to primarily NW flow lake effect by this afternoon.
