PARADISE AREA UPDATE via Paradise Area Night Riders – 01/19
1/19/25 4 degrees this morning and snowing. Its been a bit windy so its hard to tell how much snow we got last night but I`ll call a solid 6". I do have drifts almost knee high on my deck. Here`s what went on yesterday……
Groomer Mike C. hit the Falls trail #45 with the drag yesterday. First time this year! He said it turned out good but there are a couple of wet spots you have to be careful of. They are easy to get around but just be smart. These next few days of really cold weather will tighten everything up nicely.
Groomer Keith ran the Pine Stump trails 8/9 and said they turned out good. Be aware of drifting in "siberia".
I ran the South trail #8 and it turned out good. Still a couple of wet spots but you can get around them easy.
We didn`t have power all day yesterday so I didn`t wander in the barn to look at the schedule so not sure what`s going on fer today. I`m thinking tho we`ll run the Point trails and da Stump again. I do know we`ll stay off the Falls trail today to give it a chance to tighted up, same as the South trail. Thinking we`ll get into the swamp south of town either tomorrow or Tuesday. That`s it
LET `ER SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Groomer Chris

Here`s how yesterday went.....as promised..... We were kinda surprised by how much water is still in da swamp south of town and still in liquid form. We did make it thru but it is NOT ridable. We`ll get in there again in a couple days. After we got done in there Groomer Mike C. and Groomer Glen took a machine with drag and a machine without and headed down the Falls trail #45 to get that in better shape. They worked half the night on it! Mike texted me early this morning and said they got it better and he called it good now. Today, Groomer Keith is gonna run the Stump trails #8/9, Groomer Mike H. will hit the Point trails #452/453 and I`m heading out the door to hit the South trail #8 but skip da swamp for now. PARADISE AREA UPDATE via Paradise Area Night Riders www.paradiseareanightriders.org >> 1/20/25 3 degrees this morning and cloudy. It snowed most of the day yesterday and last night. I`m gonna say we got a foot total! Here`s what went on yesterday....... Groomer Keith ran the Pine Stump trails 8/9 and he told me they are in the best shape he`s seen this year!! Groomer Glen is finally off the IR list, he`s been on it all season. He ran the Point trails #452 and #453 and called them good. He did hit the Doe Lake Rd ridge on the north side of the system. He said it was quite beat up and still a little thin with snow but got it decent. He dug up a lot of dirt on that section so its a little brown but better than it was rough wise. Me and Groomer Mike C. are gonna take 2 machines into the swamp south of town this morning and see what we can do. Hopefully, with some luck, we can get it passable. I`ll let ya`ll know tomorrow morning. OK, quick report, I`m off to go work in da swamp. LET `ER SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Groomer Chris #paradise#newberry... See MoreSee Less
