Trail 9 north to Pine Stump has a 4 – 6 inch base and is in fair to good condition

Trail 45 has a 3 – 6 inch base and is in fair condition.

The DNRE has closed the trail from the 500 to the falls until December 24th.

The Newberry trail 9 to Rexton is in good condition with a 2 – 4 inch base, please watch for the water hole north of Borgstrom road in Hemlock Ridge. From Rexton south to the wooden bridge 473 to Epoufette is rough from logging and lack of snow. The deer are out and moving so please watch for them.

MSA raffle tickets for Michigan Snwomobile Education and Advancement Fund, are avaiable thru T.A.S.A., with The drawing on Jan. 18, 2011. Prizes are 3 Snowmobiles, 2011 Artic CatF6 SNO PRO, 2011 Polaris 550 Shift, and 2011 Ski-Doo MXZ TNT 600 H.O. E-TEC.

Newberry Trail Report – Halfway Lake Resort – 12/15

Winter has finally arrived- bringing cold to freeze the marshes and lakes along with lake effect snow. Thankfully, it waited for us to find and retrieve our perfect "Charlie Brown" Christmas tree from across the lake. With 20 inches of snow on the ground I am surprised at how quiet it is here at Halfway Lake. I savor the awe-inspiring peace and beauty while looking forward to the busy snowmobile season.
