STRAITS AREA UPDATE via Straits Area Snowmobile Club >> 01/23
Thursday January 23 Trail update We had both groomers running last night and they are back out today. Yesterday’s snowfall ranged from 8-15 inches of powder. Some places even a little more. It will settle down since it’s so fluffy but we are looking good for the weekend. You now can ride out of St Ignace. The first 5 miles will be a little thin and still has frozen truck ruts so please be careful. Otherwise our entire system has enough snow to have an overall good ride.
STRAITS AREA UPDATE via Straits Area Snowmobile Club >> When you were looking back and admiring your freshly laid ribbon and then this happens! 3 miles of back tracking to fill in the ruts. This was on our south loop tonight. All is good now... #straitsareaWhen you were looking back and admiring your freshly laid ribbon and then this happens! 3 miles of back tracking to fill in the ruts. He better have had his trail sticker and registration with him. Better be a stock exhaust too!!!! 🙄
Thank you to all of you groomer Gods for all of your hard work! We appreciate you!
I can’t say what I want to in a public forum.
I was following my GPS when....
Can’t fix stupid 🥴
I'd stopped the groomer , make him back up
WTH?
I'm guessing stupid because we protect stupid people more than smart ones
STRAITS AREA UPDATE via Straits Area Snowmobile Club >> Thursday January 30th. Trail update Everything is being groomed on a as needed basis. We are mostly flat and in good shape. The only issue to note is we do not have a big base on the rail road grade from Moran to St ignace. It is currently passable with a few thin spots and might get worse as the weekend gets busy. Our next snow chance comes on Saturday night. Overall you can expect a good ride in our area. Thank you! #straitsarea... See MoreSee Less

Too bad that color is 40-50 inches, not 50-75 lol and its 1-2 ft not 3-4 ft
This supposed to be current snow depth? I’m 7 miles south of pine stump and we’ve gotten well over 2 foot in the last 48 hours alone. There’s way more than 50” out there. Way more than 75 even.
