Gaylord Bureau – January 29, 2025 10:50 AM Recent snowfall has upgraded our trails to good condition! You may still find some thin or bare patches, but the groomers have been doing a fantastic job with the trails. As always, please be aware of your surroundings and ride safely. Enjoy the trails! I plowed both Sledheads and my storage area twice and have been plowing all of it again this morning for a third time. Snow is still coming down and its great. Several trailers parked out back already. That part is all great but the next two days they are saying 30s and then back to cold. A little warmth might help it settle in and pack it in so that may be good for the base. Everyone so far this morning is excited. I am hoping to get out for a ride. Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. This could lead to dangerous conditions for those without power or a safe source of heat. – Please move off the trail when groomers are approaching and allow them to safely pass.
– If you approach a groomer from behind, kindly wait for the operator to signal you to pass.
– Grooming can take place at any time during the day or night, so stay alert.
– Always ride on the right side of the trail.
