Take caution if traveling along M-28 today. Gusty winds and lake effect snow could reduce visibility at times, especially during this morning's commute. Also groomed Trail 8 west to help out our Bergland crews. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Scattered LES across the NW wind snow belts will bring light snow accumulations through tomorrow before diminishing and becoming confined to mainly eastern portions of Upper Michigan Tuesday night. Many spots you can see what is left of the mining days! We average 300” a year of snow & we are past half way! There are times I & other have rode sleds into May! Ideal in May, maybe not but still enough to ride haha Trails do close April 1st, tho you can ride trail 3. Groomed Trail 12 to Silver Reserve last night. Moderately bumpy, mainly in corners. Blowing and drifting was encountered and it snowed during the whole run, at times very heavy.

I've never seen so many riding on a week day as this year. We just keep getting little dusting of snow almost every night putting us at 197 total for the year. Trails are hanging in there with 4"-6" base and every bit of 3 foot in the bush.

Also, Trail 100 has been completely closed due to logging. We have placed signs posting its closure and the entrance is bermed on Trail 1. At this point there is no open trail connecting Trail 1 to the south end of Lake Gogebic unfortunately. #lakegogebic #westernup #snowphotos

Trail 8 was groomed from trail 2 to Tula.
Trail 8 is in good condition at this time.
Trail 160 was groomed from trail 2 to the Teepee
Trail 160 is moderate at this time. Still rocks showing in the woods because of lack of snow. Snow thins just after the Teepee. #ironwood #westernup
1s, to Marenisco and 8w to Wakefield were groomed last night. Shout-out to the Marenisco crew.. Thank you!! 8e to Ewen was groomed and is improving but still a heavily traveled trail and get's bad by afternoon. 13n well it was attempted, long story short, machine spun out on the hills and had to turn around.
102 was also covered, but without a drag. Main purpose was to knock down moguls and flatten berms.
We'll be sending a machine up 13n tonight without a drag to try and get that section back under control. We got the snow and we definitely have the traffic! Be patient, we'll get caught back up.
