CADILLAC AREA UPDATE via Coyote Crossing Resort >> 02/05 Snow coming & groomer down Snow last 24 hrs – 0 Conditions – Good Base – 1-4” Hello- some lake effect snow expected this week and significant system snow forecasted for Saturday & Sunday. Trails are in really good shape , with just a few snirty spots around the traditional thin areas. Unfortunately, we have one groomer down and will try and cover the difference with the other two. Volunteers will do their best to keep up with heavy crowds expected this weekend. Please be careful and respectful of others out on the trails and give the groomer drivers a Thumbs Up when you see them. THINK SNOW & RIDE RIGHT! Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. This could lead to dangerous conditions for those without power or a safe source of heat. Does anyone have any information that would explain why Antrim County was excluded from the the governor’s State of Emergency?
