WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> A wintry mix tonight into early Thursday will transition to lake effect snow bands later Thursday as northwest winds kick up to 30-40mph or more. This will result in reduced visibilities and hazardous travel for Thursday evening commute, especially over the typical NW flow snowbelts of the eastern UP and NW Lower. Parts of the E. BENZIE - MANISTEE UPDATE via Benzie Manistee Snowbirds >> Manistee County - Trail 3, snow covered, groomed. Highbridge, North good snow. 33 North to Kaleva, good snow. Chief grade 313, 389 to Bear Lake good snow.
Benzie County - Trail 39, 37, Good Snow, great snow on the trail in the woods, 3 North of US 31, great snow, reroute marked good, logging on old route.
Leelanau County - Trail 3 to Maple City, Good Snow, groomed a part of this trail not signed, from North Benzie County line, go East, cross 669 on Pettingale Rd. go East, signed through fields, North and East to Newman Road, go North on Newman, no signs on Newman, North to Kasson Center, left, West to Pierce then right on the trail, this is the connection to get to Maple City, Trail is signed from Pierce Rd to Maple City.
