HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club – 02/07 We had extremely high winds yesterday late afternoon & into the night. If your out riding today please watch out for down trees, branches, & drifts. We had one groomer out early this morning to take care of this major hazard on the Alanson trail and will have all three groomers back out tonight. If your out riding and come across any trees / branches and you can move them we would appreciate the help. If you cannot please send us a message or a text so we can prioritize those areas this evening. <> <> HARBOR SPRINGS UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club >> 2025 Ice Storm Damage. The destruction to our trail system is overwhelming, and it will take an army to clean it up. Whether you ride these trails on a snowmobile, side by side, four-wheeler, drive them in your truck, hunt these woods, walk, or bike them, we will need your help. We have a meeting this Thursday at the Harbor Barn with the Mud Brothers & Beach’s Up North Tavern to get plans together for a trail clean up on 4/26. #harborsprings #petoskey WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Precip will gradually taper through the evening. Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing.
