WATERSMEET – WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via U.P. Thunder Riders Snowmobile Club >> 02/07 GROOMER UPDATE 2/7/25- Groomers Gene and Gary went out last night to groom our entire system. Most of the UP will see light snow Saturday and Saturday night, although no more than 1-3 inches for most of the area. Menominee County, however, has a chance of seeing 3-5 inches (especially south). Trail 1 between M28 all the way to Presque Isle is in excellent condition overall. Trail 8 west from the Trails 1/8 intersection to the GRTA system is in excellent condition also. Finally, we are not resetting the trail base completely every night. Traffic is subsiding! We have been relieved to see the lack moguls on our trail system, thanks in large part to our amazing mechanic team! We are grooming our whole system every day.
Please ride on the RIGHT side of the trail and STOP at the stop signs!
Stay on the trail, if you don’t we could lose trail permissions on private property.
Groomers have the right of way on the trails, pull over and stop to let them safely pass!
We now have Groomer Tracker installed in our groomers.
We groom every day that the weather conditions and equipment allow. Unforeseen circumstances may prevent us from going out, like a major blizzard and being snowed in at our homes or equipment breakdowns. #sidnaw #westernup
