LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming >> 02/10

Bergland Area Groomer’s Report for the evening of 2/9/25.
On a positive note.. 102 finally held together for the first time this season and was a pleasure to groom tonight! All pictures are from 102.. On the negative, it was a one man show and only 102, 8w, and the Hoop n Holler access trail was covered. The Hoop trail was absolutely destroyed with frozen in moguls. We did a double pass through there tonight. Hopefully we can gather the troops for a double shift tonight and keep the momentum going. Appreciate you all!! ❄️❄️❄️

Michigan Snowmobile Trail Report

WEATHER UPDATE via Midwest Weather >> ~Snowfall Forecast Tuesday Night-Thursday Morning~
I ran out of time this morning so I had to take a picture off my phone this time. Hopefully it's visible enough.
A winter storm is expected to bring a swath of heavy snowfall accumulations from KS/NE to portions of MI. A surface low will deepen in the panhandle and move northeast through the day on Wednesday. A large area of 6-9" is expected, which will cause significant travel impacts on Wednesday and Thursday. Snow will overspread southwest to northeast Tuesday night west of the Missouri River and Wednesday morning east of the Missouri River. Snow will fall for as long as 18 hours in some areas.
A large area of increased lift and frontogensis with a deformation band will enhance snowfall rates to 1" an hour. Very fluffy snow will allow blowing. #miweather #keweenaw #westernup #marquette #munising #seney #newberry #soo #straitsarea #gaylord #cadillac #benzie #traversecity #petoskey~OUTDATED~

Just checked the forecast for West Branch MI for Wed and it says 6-9 inches. We just got 10 inches so this will be awesome!

6-9”? Hell ya!, I’ll get the yardstick ready!

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> While most of the UP will be dry today through midweek, lake effect snow showers continue across the NW wind snow belts through Tuesday. Some heavier snowfall rates across the Keweenaw today may lead to a few more inches of snowfall as well as hazardous travel conditions, so the Winter Weather Advisory continues for northern Houghton and Keweenaw Counties. Otherwise, expect much colder temperatures to work in, with sub-zero overnight lows for many spots throughout the work week. #miweather #keweenaw #westernup #marquette #munising #seney #newberry #soo #straitsareaWhile most of the UP will be dry today through midweek, lake effect snow showers continue across the NW wind snow belts through Tuesday.
