Saturday snow storm of nearly 8-10” really got the trails in good shape. Groomers are out regularly keeping things as smooth as possible. Fresh snow is creating lots of snow dust when riding , so stay safe and keep distance from others for visibility. On behalf of all of us at Coyote Crossing , thanks for coming out to see us over the weekend. Local businesses really do benefit from these busy, snowy weekends in our area.. Nice to see many areas throughout northern Michigan are enjoying a more typical winter season. Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. This could lead to dangerous conditions for those without power or a safe source of heat. Does anyone have any information that would explain why Antrim County was excluded from the the governor’s State of Emergency?
