Gaylord Bureau – February 14, 2025 9:45 AM The trails in Gaylord have been in good condition all week! It’s shaping up to be an awesome, snowy weekend. Snow will pick up this evening and continue through the weekend and into next week. Stay safe and enjoy the fresh powder! Check out this live feed to see trail #7, just north of Gaylord. No new snow overnight and for as awesome as the snow is out there it seems that the sled traffic is light. I am sure it will be busier as the day goes on. Also Happy Valentines to all. I think we are supposed to get another round of snow again tonight. I am pretty much tired of plowing again. I had the loader here to pile up snow a couple weeks ago and I think I might have to get him back here again.. Nothing to exciting to report so this is gonna be short and sweet. Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. This could lead to dangerous conditions for those without power or a safe source of heat. – If you approach a groomer from behind, kindly wait for the operator to signal you to pass.
– Grooming can take place at any time during the day or night, so stay alert.
– Always ride on the right side of the trail.
