LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming >> 02/18 Bergland Area Groomer’s Report for 2/18/25. New snow over the past couple days? Hard to judge with the wind we had yesterday. We’re guessing 20″+.. Still snowing this morning when Groomer’s got in. Temp’s have remained around -3 to 11° which really helps set up the trails. Traffic has calmed and will allow us a chance to catch up with the new snowfall. It’s getting DEEP for sure but remember new snow and traffic makes bumps. Off trail should be amazing, just know where you’re riding and aren’t trespassing on private property. Be safe, slow down and take it in!! We've been receiving 2" 3" 4" every day for the past 5 day's! The snow is very light and fluffy but is packing and adding to the base.. Traffic has lightened up which has been allowing the trail's to set up much better. Pictures of the machines and drags just shows the build up and weight we're pulling! 13n, 1n 8w (Thank you Marenisco crew)! 102, Hoop access all covered tonight. 8e is being covered this morning and 13s tonight. We are grooming our whole system every day and the trails are very good.
Please ride on the RIGHT side of the trail and STOP at the stop signs!
Stay on the trail, if you don’t we could lose trail permissions on private property.
Groomers have the right of way on the trails, pull over and stop to let them safely pass!
We now have Groomer Tracker installed in our groomers.
We groom every day that the weather conditions and equipment allow. Unforeseen circumstances may prevent us from going out, like a major blizzard and being snowed in at our homes or equipment breakdowns. #westernup 
I hit the trails yesterday, and I have to say—conditions are absolutely incredible! I took Trail 12 out of Ontonagon, connected to Trail 3 up to Twin Lakes, and returned via Trail 13 to 137. Every mile was spectacular—smooth as glass, with barely another rider in sight.
In the past week, we’ve received over two feet of fresh snow, and it’s shaping up to be some of the best riding conditions we’ve seen in years. If you’re looking for prime snowmobiling, now is the time to head up and experience it for yourself.
