Gaylord Area Trail Report – 02/22
Gaylord Bureau – February 21, 2025 4:05 p.m. We’ve got more great news on grooming! As you may know, both of our groomers are currently out for repairs. Our neighboring communities are lending a hand and several of our trails will be getting some attention. Yesterday the Lewiston groomers did Trail #4 and 404 to the east. The Grayling groomers just took care of Trail #7 from Frederic to Gaylord and back. Indian River groomers will be on Trail #7 tonight from Wolverine to Gaylord and back. Please give a big wave to these groomers if you see them out and about! They are going above and beyond to help our their snowmobiling friends and the Gaylord community. We extend a sincere thank you to them for their efforts! Keep in mind, our other trails are in fair shape but will likely get bumpier. We will keep you updated on the status of our groomers and let you know once grooming resumes. Ride safe and stay tuned for updates! Check out this live feed to see trail #7, just north of Gaylord. A few things to remember about our groomers and trails: – Groomers are out there to help you have a better riding experience and always have the right of way. Want to be ready? Lots of sleds over at the swamp but I havent heard much brapping going on out there. Steady flow of riders thru here this morning and its now about 1:30 and only 24 degrees. Thats good cause predictions were for warmer than that today. Snow settled a little bit yesterday but we still have an awful lot of snow on the ground. I heard of a serious crash yesterday on trail 7 out by 5 mile road south of Grayling. It didnt sound good so Please ride safely and under control. I always say those sleds will kill you in the blink of an eye. Thanks for checking in. Pete http://frederic-mi.com/category/trail-conditions/ <> <>
– Please move off the trail when groomers are approaching and allow them to safely pass.
– If you approach a groomer from behind, kindly wait for the operator to signal you to pass.
– Grooming can take place at any time during the day or night, so stay alert.
– Always ride on the right side of the trail.
– Ride safe and ride sober.Postings From Regional Pages On Facebook
