Harbor Springs Area Trail Report – 02/24
HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club – 02/24 The trails were laying out pretty nicely last night. We groomed the entire west side & the railroad grade, the east side was groomed on Saturday night. Temperatures are supposed to be above freezing the next few days so grooming will be paused until the temps tires drop back down. Keep your fingers crossed that it stays cloudy & we don’t get any rain. If anyone is out riding over the next few days please send us reports on how the trails are holding up. <> <> <> WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Primary story for the first half of the week will be the milder temperatures, especially today. Breezy southwesterly flow will melt snow and could boost temperatures well into the 40s, particularly if we are able to break into any sunshine this afternoon. A stray flurry or drizzle could linger into Tuesday, with slightly cooler but still warm temperatures ahead of a more organized system that will bring the wintry mix potential back to the area for Wednesday…with potential for some accumulating snow in its wake Thursday with a potent punch of cold air. We had groomers on the grade & on the east side of the trail system on Thursday night, last night we groomed trails 71 & 704 from the barn to Moose Jaw Junction. All other trails on the west side were groomed Wednesday night. This is the best snow depth map we have seen in a long, long time. Ugh A map with no legend is completely useless Seney area is deep that's for sure Dale Stevenson where are you?! Luzerne! This is the best snow depth map I've ever found. It's never steered me wrong.
