I don’t know what else to say. Just like many other clubs in the UP, we are watching the temps. With possible rain showers and just barely cold enough temps, we are playing a game of “to groom, or not to groom”. We don’t want to ruin the base we have by turning it over in warm weather. Short lived results for smooth trail may hurt more than waiting it out. Tuesday night looks like a definite go as of now, with a return to solid cold by this weekend, but as we all know, that could change. We don’t have sacrificial base like the east end of the UP, so we will try to play the long game. Please be careful and reduce your speed when driving this morning. MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> Trail was ate up after the warm day and heavy traffic, but laid back smooth. Low traffic volume at night should help for today, but with the warm weather this week, trails will get rough quicker than normal. I don’t anticipate losing much base, but the makeup of the snow will change as it thaws and refreezes. Check your carbides as corners may get icy. This is the best snow depth map we have seen in a long, long time. Ugh A map with no legend is completely useless Seney area is deep that's for sure Dale Stevenson where are you?! Luzerne! This is the best snow depth map I've ever found. It's never steered me wrong.
