As you may know, both of our groomers are currently out for repairs. Our neighboring communities have been able to lend a hand and several of our trails were groomed last week. Thank you to our grooming friends in Lewiston, Grayling and Indian River for getting us ready for last weekend! After a brief warm up and lots of visitors over the weekend, conditions may be quite rough. We’ll update you with any other grooming taking place once we are aware.
Please give a big wave to these groomers if you see them out and about! They are going above and beyond to help our their snowmobiling friends and the Gaylord community. We extend a sincere thank you to them for their efforts!
Keep in mind, our trails are in poor to fair shape and will likely get bumpier. We will keep you updated on the status of our groomers and let you know once grooming resumes. Ride safe and stay tuned for updates!
Check out this live feed to see trail #7, just north of Gaylord.
A few things to remember about our groomers and trails:
– Groomers are out there to help you have a better riding experience and always have the right of way.
– Please move off the trail when groomers are approaching and allow them to safely pass.
– If you approach a groomer from behind, kindly wait for the operator to signal you to pass.
– Grooming can take place at any time during the day or night, so stay alert.
– Always ride on the right side of the trail.
– Ride safe and ride sober.

FREDERIC - GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling >> Cant I ever be happy? First its no snow, I want to ride, then we have snow and then to much snow, to much plowing, then more snow, great trails, then broke groomers. Now today its sunny and 43 degrees. Just no happy spot. From one extreme to the other. Snow to deep to ride in or easy to get stuck. Weather forcast for this next few days seems to warm so time will tell what the next step is going to be. On the bright side I had a great 60 mile ride to Lovells in yesterday and we found plenty of 2 plus feet fields of untouched snow. #gaylord#snowphotos... See MoreSee Less

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Primary story for the first half of the week will be the milder temperatures, especially today. Breezy southwesterly flow will melt snow and could boost temperatures well into the 40s, particularly if we are able to break into any sunshine this afternoon. A stray flurry or drizzle could linger into Tuesday, with slightly cooler but still warm temperatures ahead of a more organized system that will bring the wintry mix potential back to the area for Wednesday…with potential for some accumulating snow in its wake Thursday with a potent punch of cold air. Be aware that snowmelt could lead to localized ponding in areas with snow-covered storm drains, along with ice jam potential on area rivers. #miweather #gaylord#cadillac#benzie #traversecity #petoskeyPrimary story for the first half of the week will be the milder temperatures, especially today.
