CADILLAC AREA UPDATE via Coyote Crossing Resort. >> 02/25 Heat Wave! Conditions – Fair Snow Last 24 hrs – 0 Base – 1-4 , with bare spots around destinations Hello – This is second day in mid 40’s and back to more seasonal temps returning tomorrow. This is Spring like conditions with plenty of snow in the woods , but quite difficult getting in/out of any towns. Riding from Staging areas is suggested as is staying off trails until later tomorrow. We will groom as we watch the temps and conditions. Trails definitely need to firm up before we can do anything good with them .. Some snow is expected later this week, so we are likely in for more winter recreation. It’s been a great season thus far and all local businesses are so appreciative of your patronage.. It’s been several rough seasons and this year really brightened things up . Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. This could lead to dangerous conditions for those without power or a safe source of heat. Does anyone have any information that would explain why Antrim County was excluded from the the governor’s State of Emergency?
