TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Ranch Rudolf >> 02/27 Weekend Update 3/1 and 3/2! Our driveway and dirt road are down to dirt at this point. There is still some decent snow to be found out in the woods for the diehards. We will update here if groomers run at all this weekend. At this point, unless there is a drastic change in weather and snowfall, Saturday March 1st will be our last day open for the winter season. It was the winter we’d been dreaming of for the past 10 years. Thankful for good consistent snow and mostly thankful for all of you, our loyal winter friends and guests! Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. This could lead to dangerous conditions for those without power or a safe source of heat. Ranch will be open Saturday, March 1, noon to 4pm but only for beverages and to come out and enjoy the fire for maybe the last time of the season. It’s been such a warm week we lost a lot of snow and could not justify ordering food to be able to serve food this wknd. We will be closed on Sunday, March 2.Postings From Regional Pages On Facebook
