Munising Area Trail Report – 03/06

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> 03/06

Our operators are digging out of their own homes after this big blow. Significant snowfall and drifting across our trail system will get attention soon, but we need a few diehards to smash the air out of the snow first! Our tractor is a beast, but there will be a few areas that we will not make it through without sled traffic smashing the drifts down first. We will let you know as soon as we get up and running!

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Alger County SORVA >> Just a quick update for yah.
Last night and this morning we saw rain.
Today around mid day it switched over to snow. Wet heavy snow.
It is a wet slushy mess. Tonight the temps are staying below freezing until Sunday.
We plan to get the groomers back out tomorrow when conditions permit.
We don't want to go out and destroy what we have for base.
This weekend should be pretty good. Plenty of base out there and low traffic.
Hearing varying amounts of snow in the area.
We will have to wait and see what we end up with.
Pictured - that is slush that has been sliding off of the roof. It is just starting to get a crust on it. Sorry for the lack of decent pictures. Hunkered down at home. Roads are a nightmare. #munising #snowphotos
