The trails are open, but there is a little snow. We are ready to go grooming but there just is not enough snow. 18 degrees this A.M. FYI: There will not be gas at Rainbow Lodge this year as they are closing for the winter. There is a gas pump logo on the trail map, but they will be CLOSED. The map is new for this year,and I recieved the information about Rainbow Lodge after the maps went to the printer.

Snowmobile Trail # 8 between Marquette and Negaunee will be closed until end of December. Over the summer vandals started a fire on the wooden trestle bridge over the Carp River. The fire did extensive damage to the deck and unfortunately the wooden beams below. The Hiawatha Snowmobile Club has received a Grant from the snowmobile trail program to repair the structure. The deck planking has arrived but the large beams are not slated to be in until the LAST week of December.

TASA has recieved new groomer. The new groomer is a John Deere 7330 Comfortgard Premium Cab Tractor, with the saucey 4 track system, and a Sur Track drag. Bader & Sons is the selling dealer and hope to have it to us by the opening of the snowmobile season.
