Michigan Trail Report

Traverse City Trail Report – Blue Sky Snowmobile Rentals – 01/04

Still Grooming! Trails are in fairly good condition. Trail 5 from Peegeo’s to Ranch Rudolph is a bit thin and bumpy in spots with high traffic areas showing dirt and getting thin. From the ranch over to Hoosier valley and back down to Fife Lake much of the same.

Trail 55 from Broomhead road east all the way into Kalkaska and down to Fife Lake is pretty good. Kalkaska had about 7 inches fall a couple days ago and it has made the riding in that area pretty nice. Overall, considering we have had no real snowfall since the pre Christmas storm, the trails are still ridable and in good shape.

We have had an extremely busy rental week with our rental sleds. Everyone seems to be having a great experience weather the trails are bumpy, snirty or perfect in areas. ‘We can’t always count on perfect conditions.’ ‘It’s part of the experience.’ This quote came from a guy who has ridden for years. He brought his family up to ride for the first time. We are in need of some fresh snow to clean things up a bit. The groomers are out and doing a great job knocking down the bumps and making the trails nice and smooth to ride.
