Newberry Trail Report – 01/15
Temps are expected to be in the Teens and 20’s Through the week single digits by Sunday, with little snow. Maybe 2 to 3 inches by Thursday. The trails are icy where ever there was snow. We will not groom until we get about 8 to 10 inches of snow. Trail #9 is in Poor condition, there are spots on the 3 Mile grade with no snow on it. Trail #45 is plowed from Skyline Road to the north 3 miles for logging. This area is very icy with large dips, please be very CAUTIOUS. The rest of the trail is in Poor condition. Trail #9/2 to Epoufette & Trout Lake is in Poor shape down to Rexton where the snow gets thin. We will not be grooming until temps cool down and we get more snow. There has only been one signifacant snow fall so far this year, and we need more snow.. We do not groom in the village, and the curfew in the village is 11 P.M. to 7 A.M. THE NORTH STORE ON CO. RD. 407,WILL BE OPEN THIS YEAR. The curfew for the Village of Newberry is 11:00 P.M. until 7:00 A.M. FYI: There will not be gas at Rainbow Lodge as they are closed due to the Duck Lake fire. There is a gas pump logo on the trail map, but they will be CLOSED.
