Indian River Trail Report – 01/18
onditions are Fair to Poor, depending on woods or railroad grade. We saw some light snow yesterday but it didn’t amount to much overall. The radar shows snow moving in–it should arrive early this afternoon. Chance of snow is 100% and accumulations are predicted to be 2′ overnight. Saturday is going to bring more snow–up to 3′ and windy conditions. Now there is some chance of ice/rain pellets late in the day but it’s too early to tell just yet. Sunday shows up to another inch of snow. There isn’t enough snow for our groomers to work with today, but they hope to go out this weekend. We need 4-6′ more for the tractors to run. If you go out you won’t think conditions are that great–there are deep ruts in areas of the trail near Weber Lake so be cautious. Even though there’s some snow out there, don’t go riding with the expectation of excellent conditions. Hopefully today/overnight will bring us the predicted accumulations and turn this into a great weekend. Visit Indian River Snowmobile Grooming Club Condition Report >>>>
