Paradise Area Trail Report – Paradise Area Night Riders – 01/21

Good Morning & Martin Luther King Day….its 10:00am ,,,winds are blowing 20 mph out of the west..,temps is up to 7 degrees on the shores of Whitefish Bay…(colder inland) Temps in the U.P. are hovering around the ZERO mark …Windchills in the -18 below zero area… A great day for working/packing snowmachine trails ..

Pic… this morning @ 10:00am….ice is slowing building out about 800 feet …high winds 20mph are actually out of west …weather vane shows north …but the tree line causes that…snow is gettin up to 18 inches officially we have 16 inches the glass railings are 36 inches tall..

Officially we have 16 inches of snow as per Paradise cocorahs.org weather person Bob Englebrecht….and 87.5 inches for the year ( we had alot of early season melt downs included) our AVERAGE snow fall is 200’…..

GROOMERS REPORT…..Spent last night till 1:00am up on trail 8 (Paradise to Pine Stump Jct. area..
Trail #8 is good to excellent shape North of Paradise…South of Paradise its Marginal and water holes thru the swamp…should be in better condition soon…

Trails 45-451-452-453 are all groomed and in very good condition,,,but watch out for huge drifts.. I would give these a excellent riding rating but due to the drifting snow and white out conditions we leave it a very good condition…

forecasts call for lots of upcoming Lake Effect Snow and below Zero temps..
