Michigan Trail Report

Newberry Trail Report – 01/29

It’s raining, We will not be grooming today. We will go tomorrow when the Temp goes down to 28 degrees.

Trail #9 was groomed last night. The snow was balling up in some areas. With this rain the trails will break down quickly.

Trail #45 is plowed from Skyline Road to the north 3 miles for logging. USE EXTREME CAUTION IN THE PLOWED AREA WHERE THEY ARE LOGGING. This area is very icy with large dips please be careful. The trail is in good condition other than that. Lou said we can now measure the snow in feet instead of inches.

Trail #9/2 to Epoufette/ Trout Lake is in very good condition, as they did get about 8′ of snow. The trail to Epoufette is in very good condition. The trail #473 to Trout Lake was groomed Sunday, and the snow is thin along the railroad tracks to Trout Lake. We may loose some of the trail due to the rain. Will send a groomer down as soon as it cools down to about 28 degrees.
