Western U.P. Trail Report – Western U.P. Bureau – 02/01
Snow came just in time for another great weekend. We had gotten about 8 inches of new snow across the area. Some may have gotten a little bit more than others. Temps are cold again today and warming up into the double digits tomorrow. Today is a picture perfect day here in the Big Snow Country. What a great weekend to ride… The Gogebic Range Trail Authority: Reports both groomers are up and running. Trail 2, 8 and 160 are all freshly groomed. Trail 11S and 11N should be groomed this weekend. Conditions are good with all trails snow covered. Looks like a great weekend to come and ride. The Lake Gogebic groomers report: With all the new snow we have gotten in the last couple of days trails are in great shape. All trails are in good to very good condition. Groomers are out running continuously on all trails to keep them in the best possible shape. PLEASE REMEMBER TO PULL OVER IF YOU SEE A GROOMER. THEY HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY… Don’t forget about the Radar Run this weekend in front of the Gogebic Lodge. Watersmeet reports groomers are out. All trails are groomed and are in good to very good conditions. Trails in the Bruce Crossing area are also groomed and are in good condition. Keep in mind groomers can be out day or night so watch out for them and please pull over or slow down and wait for the operator to signal you by. Please be careful on corners as you know several Michigan Trail signs have been discontinued. These signs are posted on our trail map. PLEASE BE SAFE!!!!
