Newberry Trail Report – 02/11
Trail #9 is reported in very good to Excellent condition. We continue to get snow and the scenery is beautiful out on the trails. We had a major breakdown yesterday. The drag broke off one of the groomers as it was headed South. Parts will be in today and repaired. Trail #45 is plowed from Skyline Road to the north 3 miles for logging. This area is very icy with LARGE DIPS please be careful. USE EXTREME CAUTION ON THE PLOWED AREA WHERE THEY ARE LOGGING. The trail is in Very Good to Excellant condition other than that. STOP & STOP AHEAD SIGNS HAVE BEEN INSTALLED AT THE DIP Trail #9/2 to Epoufette/ Trout Lake is in very jjygood condition. The trail to Epoufette is in good condition. Trail #473 to Trout Lake is in good condition, the snow is thin along the railroad tracks from Caffey corner to Trout Lake. THE NORTH STORE ON CO. RD. 407,WILL BE OPEN THIS YEAR. The curfew for the Village of Newberry is 11:00 P.M. until 7:00 A.M. FYI: There will not be gas at Rainbow Lodge as they are closed due to the Duck Lake fire. There is a gas pump logo on the trail map, but they will be CLOSED.
