We enjoyed a beautiful day of big fluffy white snowflakes thru most of the day. At times it has been snowing very hard making visibility difficult.

Gaylord Area – February 13
A beautiful day. Mild temps and off/on sunshine. Becky and Dave from Ohio enjoyed this ride with us.

It can be treacherous driving in conditions of white out whether you are in a car or a snowmobile. Monday evening, not too far from Rays Retreat a snowmobiler lost his life in conditions of heavy snow. The roads were also very icy. He was crossing over Mancelona Road and was hit by a truck. The sled was in two pieces. When visibility is so poor it makes me think of the grade school warnings to Stop – Look – and Listen.

We received several inches today. Snow continues to be in our forecast thru Sunday morning.

Its going to be an intense weekend with heavy traffic on the trails. We have the No Vacancy sign out and unless something unexpected happens, it will remain out thru the weekend. .. actually into the first of the week.

We watched the groomer go by this evening at a much slower pace than we saw earlier this week.
