Cadillac Area Trail Report – 02/23
We have picked up at least 3 inches today and it is still snowing big puffy flakes. There are lots of sleds in the area this weekend so the trails got pretty rough today. Rest assured three groomers are out there tonight trying to get the trails back in shape for the riders tomorrow. With such heavy traffic, it doesn’t take long for the ice base to resurface especially on the corners and turns so plan ahead and be prepared. Had lunch with some groomer operators today and they were commenting how nice it was when sledders helped out with the brushing. They really appreciate it when sledders take the time to interrupt their journey long enough to throw trail hazards off the trail out of the way of sleds and the groomer drag. A special thanks to those of you who lend a helping hand. Trail Conditions: Very Good to Excellent REMEMBER there are fewer signs in the woods this winter so when you finally do get a chance to ride, take your time and enjoy the ride. The need for speed may be costly to you and to others. Assume every trail is a winding trail and be ready for the next curve. A reminder to those who enjoy riding the White Pine Trail, State Park officials have asked snowmobilers to ‘refrain from operating snowmobiles when less than four inches of snow cover the trail.’ * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * VIA CADILLAC WINTER PROMOTIONS
