Sault Ste. Marie Trail Report – 03/05
2 below this morning, supposed to get to 30 later today. Weather looks great for another weekend of great riding. Have you planned your trip yet for this weekend? I am hoping the weather holds for we have our March dinner meeting on the 12th and a pancake breakfast on the 16. I think we will have rideable snow for both!!!!!! For those of you from the area and know of the West Pier Drive-In, it is always nice to be able to ride your sled to them when they open for the season in late March. Via Sault Ste. Marie Snowmobile Association on Facebook Trails are all in good to excellent shape, but the longer the time after a groom the the rougher they get. Groomers are out smoothing out the trails daily. Hopefully if you find a not so smooth section you found many more that were freshly groomed. Groomers run 24/7 on different sections. Trails are generally groomed once a day on weekends and everyother day during the week depending on traffic, temps, and breakdowns.
